Providing a personal service is very important to us. That’s why for any custom cycling kit order, you will only ever deal with Damian and Nancy, A’QTO Founders and Business Owners. This means you are guaranteed fast response times and fast decisions, and the highest quality of service, always.
A’QTO has been making custom cycling kit since 2010. For the production of our cycling kit, we partner with an Italian company who has been making cycling garments for more than 30 years, and we also partner with a range of other companies for specific items, who have all been manufacturing cycling garments and components for 30+ years. The manufacturing of cycling kit in Italy is widespread and varied, so having long term partnerships with companies we trust, and with whom we have strong relations, is very important. We speak fluent Italian.
Yes. We only do custom design. We do not use any templates of designs that have already been produced, which means your design is unique to your group. We work through a design process with you to ensure that you are involved at every step, and that you end up with a design that you and your group love because it is uniquely yours.
Yes. Full customised design is included, including the refinement of any logos, development of file formats, etc required during the design process – no additional costs creep in.
No, there are no additional charges for your custom kit design. However, if you require a logo to be developed or you would like specific artwork images to be drawn or constructed, these can be developed by our designers and are charged at $80 per hour.
The process for design is that we start by obtaining an insight into what you would like to see in your kit design – what you like, don’t like, colours, style logos required for inclusion, etc – often obtaining reference material or sketches that you and your group may already have. We then work with you through a process of developing initial concepts, selecting a concept to proceed with, and refining that concept into a design that you and your group love.
You can request as many changes as you would like to make sure that we are developing and refining a design for your group that you are 100% happy with. There are no additional costs for design changes.
Yes. We often deal with Groups who don’t know exactly what they want. This is where our very capable design team leads you through a design process of creating initial concepts following a conversation with you and obtaining enough information regarding design style, elements, pictures, colours etc. We then work with you to refine a design that you end up 100% happy with.
Yes. If you already have a design, you can supply it to us and we will work with you and/or your designer to ensure it fits with our garment pattern templates.
You don’t have to have the A’QTO logo on each item of your kit. Afterall, this is about you, not us. However, we are proud of our brand, designs and product quality, and so if you are happy to include our logo, we include it in one location on tops and one location on bottoms. This location is selected, based on your specific design.
To ensure you end up with the best colour match to your needs, we match our specific fabric colour swatches to PMS/Pantone colours provided by you and/or reference material provided by you. Colours can appear differently on computer monitors and printed materials vs when printed on fabrics, and also different fabrics do respond differently when printing. That’s why we pay careful attention to colour matching and colour selection per item, and include you in the process, particularly when we’re needing to adhere to brand guidelines. We also often send you our specific fabric swatches if required.
We issue you with final design / artwork files for you to sign off on.

Group Fit is a slightly more relaxed fit. On average, a Group Fit jersey provides approximately one size greater in body circumference versus our Performance fit, which has a more anatomic cut and some ‘race fit’ characteristics. However this ‘additional size’ does also depend on which fabrics are selected as different fabrics offer different stretch capacities, which is also a key factor. Race Fit is an ultra slim, tight, more tapered fit, designed to enhance the performance of elite cyclists.

To maintain the integrity of your garments, it is recommended that you machine wash all of your cycling clothing on a delicate cycle, using cold water and delicate detergents such as wool mix. For garments with zippers, it is recommended that you close zippers before washing and place these garments (particularly jerseys) into was bags. Cycling clothing garments should be line dried, and never placed in a clothes dryer or dry cleaned. Do not bleach, twist, wring, heat or iron garments.
