Product Care

We want you to get the most out of your garments – just like your riding. Here are some tips to get the longest life out of your A’QTO garments:

General care

  • Always: check the care label. This label has garment specific information on how to care for you’re A’QTO gear
  • If in doubt: machine wash your garments in cold water, use delicate detergents and air dry / hang out to dry.
This will help to protect the life of any delicate fibres and the shape of your garments.

Taking care of artwork

To care for any raised, embossed or printed artwork on your t-shirts and other gear, we suggest that you:

  • wash them inside out
  • wash according to care instructions (in most cases that will be cold wash/air dry)
  • wash with similar colours

Other tips to extend the life of your garments

  • Like with like: turn your gear inside out and wash it with other similar fabrics (e.g., cottons with polyesters but not with woollens, etc.) and avoid anything abrasive, such as denim or garments with Velcro® or zippers. These can be harmful, especially in a repetitive motion like in a washer or dryer
  • Dryarn, lycra and fabric softener don’t mix: avoid using fabric softener because it coats the technical fabrics and inhibits their wicking capabilities
  • Lycra: machine wash gear that contains Lycra fibres in cold water and with delicate detergents (ie wool mix), and hang them out to dry. This will protect and extend the life of your gear

 How to wash different fabrics

  • Cotton: cold wash/air dry
  • Wool / Wool blends: cold wash/air dry (Merino Wool – lay flat to dry)
  • Lycra / Dryarn: cold wash/hang to dry, close all zippers, use the least amount of detergent possible to clean it effectively (leftover detergent may inhibit the water-repellency) anduse delicate detergents (ie; wool mix)
